Adware is essentially advertising built into software that is installed on a pc and is a close relative of spyware. It can affect the performance of a pc and slow your internet connection by using the available bandwidth to retrieve or activate advertisments. It may cause pop-up advertising to appear on screen which needs to be closed before the PC can be used correctly.
