Quick Guide

BBnet Broadband is currently available in counties, Limerick, Clare, Kerry and North Cork. Installation is subject to line of sight to one of our transmitters, which we always test before we install any customer. You can check our coverage map here to see if your area is covered.

No, our service  is fixed wireless broadband so it is completely independent of your telephone line. We install a small antenna on the roof of your home, which requires direct line of sight to one of our transmitters. It does not need or should not affect your current telephone services.

Standard installation is currently €99, which is based on a 12 month contract and includes a wireless router. WE always perform a signal check first and there is a €30 charge for this test. However this is deducted from your installation charge once successfully installed. Monthly costs are dependent on the package you choose and you can see the available packages here.

Monthly bills are paid by direct debit from your bank account, unless otherwise agreed. Payments by debit/credit card are only accepted for 3, 6 or 12 month periods in advance and are subject to additional charges.

BBnet packages are essentially unlimited. However, in the interest of all our customers we do operate a fair usage policy. Customers that have constant high traffic patterns may have the speed of their connection reduced for a period. This is monitored on a daily basis and resets at the end of the day. The majority of issues can be resolved over the phone, however sometimes we do need to send an engineer to your home to resolve the issue.

Generally, engineer visits take 2-3 working days from the time the issue is reported.

Installation is usually completed  7-10 working days from the day the order is received . Due to the nature of the installation process, daylight is required so these hours may be reduced during the winter months.

All installations will be confirmed ahead. We generally give you notice at least the day beforehand and installers will give 30-60 minutes before arriving at your premises.

We do require access to the house during the installation process.

The installation fee and 1 months service charge are payable on completion . The installer will also ask you to complete the service contract and the direct debit mandate once installation is complete.
